My Coaching Services
At Tom Gentry Coaching, I provide one-on-one recovery coaching and family support for individuals and loved ones affected by addiction. Whether you’re someone navigating early sobriety or a parent searching for ways to help a son or daughter in crisis, I offer practical, compassionate guidance rooted in experience.
My family coaching services offer a cost-effective alternative to formal intervention with a loved one who needs professional help for a substance use disorder.
I offer short-term transitional coaching for people who find themselves at the proverbial fork in the road. Often that is someone going through a divorce or trying to avoid one.
From crisis intervention to long-term recovery, I will walk with clients every step of the way.
Private Recovery Coaching
Making a smooth transition from the protected environment of treatment to daily life is a critical step on the path to long-term recovery from a substance-use disorder. A person can obtain the best treatment the world has to offer, but unless they implement the tools they acquire in the clinical setting, chances are not much will change.
As a recovery coach, I help people navigate the often-bumpy terrain between early recovery and long-term abstinence. The client and I work together to devise a personalized plan for success which includes daily one-on-one contact.
Family Support Coaching
Watching a loved one suffer with an addiction is confusing and painful. Often families need their own help and support in the process of supporting their spouse or their child in achieving abstinence.
I offer brief, situational coaching and ongoing support for families who need guidance while navigating the complex challenges that come with active addiction.
Group Coaching
I facilitate two weekly virtual men’s groups for those who desire the comfort and support that comes with consistent and meaningful connection with other healthy men.
I provide group recovery coaching suitable for those in the early stages of abstinence, as well as other short-term and topical group programming.
Transitional Coaching
I offer private, personalized coaching for people who want support in meetings life’s challenges or in improving their quality of life. This service is appropriate for someone who is ending a relationship, beginning a new one, or implementing some other significant life change.
Placement Services
With substance use disorders, there is a vast difference between treatment and good treatment. A facility’s search engine ranking does not correlate with the quality of care they provide. I can help you or your family find the right program to meet your needs.
We’ve created a society where people would rather experience practically anything besides the way it feels to be who they are.
