The Power of the Small Group

Finding support with personal issues in a group setting often seems daunting to someone new to it. But, group work enables participants to connect with and receive feedback from multiple people who may be struggling with, or who have overcome, similar challenges. It can also create the opportunity to develop the kind of deep and meaningful relationships that seem difficult to find in today’s world.

Group Coaching Options

Carrying the Fire

Carrying the Fire is a virtual group for men who recognize the need to improve the quality of their interpersonal relationships. They may be in the midst of a significant life change, like divorce, retirement, or loss of a loved one. It’s ideal for the male who feels disconnected from himself, or emotionally numb.

Support for Early Recovery

I created Staying on the Path as an alternative to individual recovery coaching. This group is comprised of 12 weekly, hour-long sessions, each focused on a key concept for those in early recovery from substance use disorders. It can serve as an aftercare group for those who are completing treatment. It’s a good fit for someone who bristles at the idea of attending Twelve Step meetings.

Committee of Men

After it began as an in-person meeting in 2019, Committee of Men group members have met virtually every Monday since the onset of the pandemic. Some members are in long-term recovery from addiction or codependency. Whether they are husbands or fathers or emerging adults, all are focused on being better men.

Monthly Family Support Group

When someone in our lives is lost in the abyss of alcoholism or substance abuse most of us have no idea where to begin when we want to help them. Once each month I facilitate a free support group where family members or loved ones can pose questions about addiction, treatment options, and recovery.
